MARINA Integrated Seafarers Management Online System or MISMO has been on constant improvement over the years. There are plenty of available functions now. One of the most basic things is setting an appointment via the platform.
The agency drastically improves the processing experience by removing the online evaluation. Thus, making the entire process faster. The online evaluation is the main culprit of long waiting time.
Now that there is no more online evaluation, the applicant will proceed to the final evaluation instead. But before we get to that, let’s start from the beginning.
What do I need to prepare?
All you need to prepare are:
- A good internet connection in either mobile or PC.
- An updated MISMO profile including profile photo
- Requirements for your transaction
If you have all of these then this tutorial will just be like a walk in the park. Let’s start.
MARINA MISMO Appointment step by step process
Login to your MISMO account at https://online-appointment.marina.gov.ph.
Next, update your profile information if necessary. Do not forget to double check your profile photo.
Click Select Transaction to choose what transaction you want to make.
Afterwards, a pop-up window will appear which will let you choose your transaction. As of today, MARINA removes the SIRB and MARINA ID function. These functions are now in SID/SRB Online Appointment System.

Next, an applicant can choose on either the Examination or Certification tab. Examination includes the Theoretical and Practical Exam options. Certification includes COP, COC/COE.
In this example, we’re going to apply for BT (Basic Training) COP. Therefore, we will choose the Certification tab.
Then, tick Issuance, choose COP as Select Class then BASIC TRAINING (BT) for Select Function. Tick the declaration box. Finally, click Proceed.
After that, the next window will let you review your application and upload all necessary documents.
Finally, upload all the requirements needed for your transaction. Importantly, do not get confused if applying for multiple transactions. Just upload all the requirements in the left corner of the screen. Click Submit if you’re done.
Once you click Submit, choose the MARINA branch or office of your choice including the date and time. Click Proceed if you’re all set.
After clicking the Proceed button, A reference number will be sent to you. Use that reference number for payment of your transaction.
Pay the corresponding fees to an authorized payment partners.
After payment, you will receive an acknowledgement via SMS along with the instructions for final evaluation.
Final Evaluation…
Go to the appointment date and time you set in MISMO. Bring all original documents for verification. Your BT COP will be issued after everything has been checked and verified.
As of February 2020, MARINA removes the online evaluation for all ISSUANCE processes. Therefore, it is of great relief to our mates because this step is consumes time the most.
