Exploring the MARINA SID/SRB Online Appointment Platform

MARINA launch yet another online service for seafarers to use. This time, solely caters the Seafarers Identity Document (SID) and Seafarers Record Book (SRB). Thus, being called the MARINA SID/SRB Online Appointment System.

It’s not long ago that MISMO or MARINA Integrated Seafarers Management Online System was launched. Where, in that system, seafarers then can apply for SIRB, examination, COC, COP and MARINA ID.

Now, MARINA separates the processing of SIRB which will be SRB. They also halt the issuance of MARINA ID for good to give way for SID. In effect, the SID/SRB Online Appointment System was born.

The Home Page

Access to the new online service is at https://sidsrb.marina.gov.ph. The home page serves as the main gateway to start your transactions.

At the right side of the page serves as the Advisory section of the new website. These are notices and reminders from the agency to stakeholders. It includes reminders and guidelines to applicants who want to apply for SID/SRB.

The Start Now button will enable the applicant to proceed with the application he or she desires. Its either Seafarers Identity Document (SID) or Seafarers Record Book (SRB).

The applicant can also can view the documents required in the Requirements tab.

MARINA SID/SRB Online Appointment in a nutshell

A relatively new online service which caters SID and SRB processes. This aims to reduce MISMO transactions by dedicating an online platform for SIR and SRB.

Its downside however are the time slots which some are available for a month away from filing. As we proceed forward, seafarers hope that these shortcomings be addressed in the future.
