What does MARINA Cebu offers?

MARINA Cebu or MARINA Regional Offices offers convenience to seafarers living in the their respective provinces when it comes to processing their documents or licenses. Due to this, seafarers from provinces need not to go to Manila to process something. In Cebu, where the MARINA Region VII is located, offers the following services to seafarers from Visayas and Northern Mindanao Area.

First, the very important documents…

1. ISSUANCE OF SIRB

REQUIREMENTS:
  • BT Certifiate (Basic Training)
  • Valid NBI Certificate
  • NSO/Passport (Marriage Certificate for Married Women)
  • TOR (for maritime graduates only)
  • FLIGHT DETAILS (for expidite only)

2. RENEWAL OF SIRB

REQUIREMENTS:
  • BT Certifiate (Basic Training)
  • Valid NBI Certificate
  • SIRB (1st page and all entries)
  • Valid COC/COE/BOARD Certificate (for Officers only)
  • FLIGHT DETAILS (for expidite only)

Take Note of Other Requirements (Only if applicable)

  • Additional NSO/Passport (for those SIRB that need changes of information only)
  • Affidavit of Loss /Damage (for lost SIRB/Damage SIRB only)

3. REVALIDATION OF PSCRB, ATFF, PFRB (Must take refresher course)

REQUIREMENTS:
  • NAC Certificate
  • TCROA with Certified True Copy
  • Enrollment Report with Certified True Copy
  • Training Certificate with Certified True Copy
  • Photocopy of SIRB & entries (at least 12 months of experience, PFRB must be officer)

4. REVALIDATION OF MECA, MEFA (No refresher course required)

REQUIREMENTS:
  • NAC Certificate
  • Photocopy of SIRB & entries (at least 12 months of experience, MECA must be officer)
  • Company Sea Service

5. DCOC

REQUIREMENTS FOR RATINGS:
  • BT Certificate (Basic Training)
  • Deck Wathckeeping / RFPNW Certificate (for non maritime course)
  • Engine Watchkeeping / RFPEW Certificate (for non maritime course)
  • Medical Certificates- PEME format (Note: Clinic accredited by DOH & MARINA only – see below)
  • CTC of Company Sea Service
  • Seaman’s Book – 1st page and all entries
  • DCOC / QDC (if renewal)
  • COC ratings (for international sea service)
  • CCM Certificate (if available and for passenger vessels)
  • BTOC (for Tanker vessels)
REQUIREMENTS FOR OFFICERS:
  • BT Certificate (Basic Training)
  • SAFENAV or SSBTC (for Deck Officers only)
  • GOC Certificate (for Deck Officers only)
  • RNRP or ROC (for Deck Officers only)
  • Medical Certificates- PEME format (Note: Clinic accredited by DOH & MARINA only – see below)
  • CCM Certificate (if available and for passenger vessels)
  • DCOC / QDC (if renewal)
  • Board Certificate/ COC/ COE
  • PRC ID / MARINA ID

6. REVALIDATION OF COC (From TESDA COC to MARINA Reg. II/4 & III/4)

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ratings Training Certificate Deck & Engine Watchkeeping
  • COC Tesda Certificate
  • COP BT
  • SIRB Entries – Deck – 2 Months Experience / Engine – 12 Months Experience
  • Company Sea Service
  • Medical Certificate (PEME, 6 months before expiration)

REQUIREMENTS for BT, SDSD, ATFF, MEFA (NEW APPLICANT)
  • TCROA with Certified True Copy

REQUIREMENTS for PSCRB, PFRB, SSO, MECA (NEW APPLICANT)

9. REVALIDATION OF GOC (from NTC to MARINA)

REQUIREMENTS:
  • GOC NTC Certificate
  • Photocopy of SIRB & Entries (at least 12 months of experience as officer)
  • Medical Certificate (PEME format, 6 months before expiration)
  • Company Sea Service

Lastly, the examinations…

10. Conducting of Licensure Examination

MARINA Cebu is now catering Licensure examinations for Deck and Engine Officers since November of 2017. This examination is in addition to the regular examination Certifcate of Marine Profession (CMP), examination for Boat Captain, Major/Minor Patron & Marine Diesel Mechanics – given every last Wednesday of the month.
