How to get MARINA ID?

MARINA’s intensive efforts to make life easier and convenient for Filipino seafarers is in full display in MISMO System. There are various transaction that can be done using MISMO. One of them is getting MARINA Identification Card. In this blog, we’re lay out step by step procedures on how to get MARINA ID using MISMO.

This MARINA ID replaces completely the Professional Regulation Comission ID (PRC ID). This ID is also being recognized by the Bangko Central ng Pilipinas as one of the government’s official IDs.

So in addition with the valid IDs you have there, you can also get this for identification as a maritime professional.

Procedures in Getting MARINA ID

In getting MARINA ID, one must use MISMO system. MARINA’s one stop application portal for all STCW-related certificates.

Before we proceed to the application, the applicant must prepare the required documents for this transaction. What are they? Lets take a look:

Do you have these with you? Then wonder no more, log in to your MISMO account at https://online-appointment.marina.gov.ph

After signing in, double check your profile if it is up to date. Then, click Select Transaction button in the upper right corner.

Next, a pop up window will appear for transactions that the applicant can choose. Select MARINA Identification ID. Tick Issuance and then choose what rank your COC/COE is. In this example, we select the Chief Mate rank. Then click Proceed.

It is okay to get the MARINA ID on the rank of your COC/COE even if you didn’t use it yet.

After clicking the Proceed Button, you will land on the requirements page. Upload the requirements and then click the Submit Button.

If however your application has been rejected, go back to your MISMO profile, and select Application tab. Click View Details. You can see the status of your documents in there.

You may now set your appointment..

Log in back to your MISMO account and this time, schedule your appointment date for final evaluation. It is then when if all is well, your new MARINA ID will be issued.

Next, after you log in, go back to the Application Tab to view your pending application. This time, a blue “For Appointment” Button will appear and click it.

You can now set the date and time of your appointment. Please take note that as of this writing, only MARINA Branches NCR Central and NCR SM Manila accepts MARINA ID appointment. We’re hoping for the rest of the offices to follow.

Payment Process

Choose between Bayad Center or Visa/Mastercard options. As of this writing, Visa/Mastercard option does not work well. So i suggest, you use the Bayad Center option for your payment.

After choosing Bayad Center as payment method, click Proceed.

You will then be redirected to the payment window where you can see your reference number. It will also be sent via SMS.

Pay via GCash, BPI App or in Bayad Centers. After payment, you will receive an acknowledgement via SMS along with the instructions for final evaluation.

Important reminder…

Important reminder for all online transactions, you only have 24 hours to pay in the payment centers. After that time period, your transaction will expire. Thus, you have to complete the your transaction again.

Final Evaluation…

After you have successfully paid your transaction, go to the appointment date you set in MISMO. Bring all original documents for verification. Your new MARINA ID will be released after everything has been checked and verified.
