Much of the traffic I get from this website is from the page how to create SRN. Now, I will be discussing here how to edit and update your MARINA SRN. As you all know, this service will be our primary tool moving forward as MARINA is going paperless.
Without further ado, we will start editing and updating your MARINA SRN profile.
Lets get started…
First, go to your SRN profile at: http://stcw.marina.gov.ph/scsv2.0/ – make sure to have your adblocker disabled in Google Chrome. You can also use other web browsers. As of this writing, MARINA SRN website is not yet on https. Meaning, our data is not as secure as we thought it will.
Second, Log in to your SRN account.
Click Log In and then enter your details.
Upon log in, you will be redirected to your main profile.
You can then change your profile photo, password and even print your data in a PDF File:
Once you edit something in your profile, wait for a confirmation saying “Profile Successfully Updated”.
Click Service Records menu to edit your Sea Service Records. You need to provide GRT, IMO Number and kW of your previous vessel in order to update this section. Take note, the previous sea service I entered was accepted even if i did not enter some details.
If you do not want to enter all your sea service, you can just enter the required length of sea service that you need for your application. Example, for Chief Mate licensure exam, it needs 12 months as OIC-NW so just enter 12 months worth of OIC-NW sea service.
Hold up, there’s more…
As for your documents, you can just upload what is required by your application. Here you can edit, delete all your documents. You have total control on what you do.
In my case, there are “Verified” documents since MARINA personnel already evaluated these documents when I took my licensure examination.
Lastly, you can apply for an appointment in the Application section.
This will be the default window if you do not choose category in your application. So choose your desired application and then wait for few seconds and the required documents will appear. Upload what is asked and then proceed with your application.
So there it is mates, this application is relatively easy. You just have to provide what is asked from you. Upload the documents required, set up appointment or you can go there walk in, submit original documents for verification and then your documents will get verified.
Once you finish your application, do not forget your SRN credintials (username, password). In case you do, you can email [email protected] regarding your inquiry. Prepare a clear copy of the first page of your SIRB or you may also call (02) 5265259.
