No More Walk Ins: Use SID SRB Online Appointment System

SID/SRB online application is now a must. This means walk in applicants will not be accommodated anymore. If you’re in rush, use the expedite option for your application. 

Effective Tuesday, April 20, 2021, The SRB/SID Online Appointment System (OAS) shall be strictly implemented nationwide for all applications for the issuance of Seafarer’s Record Books (SRBs) and Seafarer’s Identification Documents (SIDs). This is as per MARINA’s Advisory No. 2021-22. Applicant can use the SID/SRB Portal to start his application at https://sidsrb.marina.gov.ph/.

Expedite Process is still possible

It has been emphasized that there will be no more walk in applications to be entertained commencing the above date. Thus, expedite process shall be done online thru https://srbsidexpedite.marina.gov.ph. However, It may be allowed on a case-by-case basis and will go through the same approval process. It must be applied by the Licensed Manning Agency and must be supported by the following documents:

  1. Request Letter for Expedite Processing by the Authorized Company representative bearing the company logo and the company official email address;
  2. Affidavit of Undertaking;
  3. Confirmed E-Ticket of the concerned seafarer/s; and,
  4. Approved POEA Contract
Transfer of venue and date may also be possible for expedite applications if supported by documentary requirements. This means the applicant can process his/her application in MARINA Regional or Satellite Offices and can finish his/her application to other MARINA Regional or Satellite Offices as long as his/her documentary requirements tells it so.

The agency will open slots for SRB/SID applications for all its processing Offices nationwide until 31 August 2021. Additional SRB/SID slots will be added in the ensuing months. 
 
It is also encourage that the seafarer themselves will file the application and shall be responsible for any untoward circumstance should they decide to seek the assistance of third persons, aside from family members.
